On Cloud 6/49: Mississauga Resident wins $7.4 Million LOTTO 6/49 Jackpot
TORONTO, Dec. 20, 2011 /CNW/ - Last Friday started out as a regular day for Mississauga resident Brenda Bosanac. The 54 year-old woke up early to make deliveries for Sully's Catering & Vending as she had been doing for past 25 years. But by the end of the day she was retired! That's because, Brenda discovered she had won the $7.4 million jackpot from the December 14, 2011 LOTTO 6/49 draw.
"I stopped in at my regular gas station to pick up propane, and left a multimillionaire!" said Brenda who arrived at the OLG Toronto Prize Centre with her sister and friend to claim her prize. "When I validated my ticket and the machine froze, I screamed aloud right there in the store. I was in such a daze but I finished up my shift as usual."
"I shared the news almost immediately with my sister and daughter. My boss was so excited for me too. He said that it couldn't have happened to better person," said Brenda.
The mom of one insists that her windfall will not change her, "My lifestyle may change, but I'll stay the same person."
In addition to retiring, Brenda plans to purchase a new home and a new vehicle, and travel the world - including a trip to Disney with her daughter.
The winning ticket was purchased at Speers Husky on Third Line in Oakville.
